"Continga" Stained Glass Bird Suncatcher

$33.00

Named after the vibrant male, Purple-breasted Cotinga, which is native to several South American countries, including Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Peru, French Guiana, and Suriname, this piece showcases stunning colors.

The lower half is crafted from green, iridescent glass, while the upper half is made from dark purple, transparent glass. The beak is made of white glass, and the eye has been hand-painted with glass paint. When light passes through the iridescent glass, the original green color becomes strikingly visible. Complementary beads are threaded onto a sturdy nylon-coated stainless-steel wire, and a small bell adds a delightful finishing touch.

Position it in a sunny window to enjoy a dazzling light display created by the stained glass. This piece is unique and will bring a special charm to your space as the light shifts throughout the day.

Measures approximately 11” from the top of the loop hanger to the bottom of the bell and approximately 4” from the outer tail feather to the beak. Each stained glass bird comes with a 1 11/16 inch long by 1 1/16 inch wide S-hook for easy hanging, making it perfect for placement over a smaller curtain rod. Please note that suction cups are not recommended for hanging.

Given the delicate nature of this little feathered friend, we recommend handling it gently and keeping it indoors or outside in warmer weather, under cover and protected from the wind and elements.

This item is crafted from stained glass, lead solder, copper wire, and copper foil, which has been patinated to create a rustic Old-World look. As with all of our stained glass products containing lead, we include this warning: Do not lick! (We are most certain you had no intention of doing so, but we sure do like to throw that out there.) Be sure to wash your hands after handling it and keep it out of reach of children and pets. Although rare, please check that your stained glass piece is not creating a single bright beam of light to avoid any fire risk.

To care for your piece, gently wipe it with a clean, soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid using ammonia-based cleaners, alcohol, or abrasive cleaners.

This piece comes to you in a gift box, ready to give to that special person on your shopping list.

Please note that the actual color of the product may vary based on screen resolution and lighting conditions.
