Welcome to Daily Ablutions! We are a husband and wife team, Jeff and Tracy, located in beautiful Northern Idaho. If you can't find Jeff in his shop, you will find him in the garden or tending to his bees. If you can't find me in the soap room, you will find me sitting at the loom, a spinning wheel or at my sewing machine.
It is our mission to offer handcrafted items that will pamper and delight your senses. Items that you would proudly give as a gift, either to a loved one or to yourself. Our emphasis is quality in our ingredients and craftsmanship. That shows through in our products.
Soap has been an obsession of mine since childhood. It would only make sense that when I found a book on soap making, 29 years ago, I would take up soap making immediately. We make small batches using the traditional cold process method to create our soaps.
Our journey into working with fiber started not long after. We were driving down the freeway when we saw a small sign, off to the side, that said "Llamas for Sale". A quick exit and turnaround gave us the chance to get the phone number from the sign. We were soon the proud owners of two beautiful baby llamas, Hazelnut and Joshua. From there, a spinning wheel was added as a way to use their fiber. Then it was angora goats, alpacas and looms that followed. Hazlenut and Joshua have long since passed, but they have left beautiful memories of our time with them and a passion for working with all kinds of fibers. Our homestead now consists of 4 alpacas, Carlton the rooster, a handful of chickens and an everchanging number of beehives.
